Featured in this unique project in Sunnybank, Brisbane; we showcase a bespoke tracking system that involved fitting tracking to internal tiles, to allow bifolds to open outward, the solution provided allows the bifolds to now be left fully opened to maximise airflow. This innovative solution has not only improved the ease of operation but also provided enhanced security features, creating a bug-free and secure environment. The homeowners can now leave these doors open, at all times, to allow for natural ventilation, and reduce the need for air conditioning, but also ensure the family’s safety.

Challenges Faced:

• Functionality: The existing tracking system made it cumbersome to open and close the doors, hindering the homeowners' access to fresh air and natural light.
• Security: The homeowners have experienced two attempted break-ins in the past, raising concerns about the vulnerability of their doors.
• Insect Infiltration: The lack of effective sealing allowed insects to enter the living space, causing inconvenience and discomfort.

Solution:

To address these challenges, a bespoke tracking system was installed internally, onto the tiles, without cracking them, to allow for a ForceField security sliding door system to operate, without impacting the bifold door operation.

The homeowners also installed ForceField hinge security doors fitted to their front French doors. With 300 colours available, they were able to match these to their existing manor red doors. 

Functionality Enhancement:

The new tracking system incorporated H.I.T. (High Impact Technology) receivers on the doors, designed with finger grips for easy operation. This feature significantly improved the ease of opening and closing the doors, allowing homeowners to enjoy the benefits of indoor-outdoor living effortlessly. Additionally, the inclusion of mohair in the channel ensured a quiet and firm closing action, further enhancing the overall user experience.

Security Enhancement:

To fortify the doors against potential intruders, Performance Plus P+ strikes were installed. These strikes provided an additional layer of security against jemmy attacks, addressing the homeowners' concerns about break-ins. The installation also included Prowler Proof ForceField, a security mesh that passed rigorous testing for its effectiveness. This mesh acts as a secure barrier against unwanted visitors, providing homeowners with peace of mind.
