The Bribie Island Croquet & Tennis Club is beautifully located in isolated parklands close to Banksia Beach on Bribie Island. The combination of an isolated location, parklands and proximity to salt water proved to be a challenge only ForceField® security screens were up to…

“The architects had originally specified another brand,” said Barry Robards from My Security Company, who installed the ForceField® security screens. “I suggested they seek further information, since I knew Prowler Proof would be the only manufacturer willing to stand by their warranty. The grounds have a tidal salt water creek running right through and any other brand would corrode. With their cut and joint corners – as opposed to Prowler Proof’s welded corners – they simply can’t isolate the stainless steel mesh from the aluminium frame. If the metals aren’t completely isolated, corrosion is a certainty in a salt water environment.”

“After doing their homework, the decision makers came to the same conclusion: no other suppliers were willing to stand by their warranty. Some suppliers would require cleaning of their security screens every 1-2 weeks in an area like this. Everybody knows that won’t happen in a commercial application…or in a residential for that matter.”

Two years after the installation Michael Cronin, president of the Bribie Island Tennis Club, is happy with the decision. “We’ve had no issues with corrosion or anything else…not even a lock, a hinge or a roller playing up. The ForceField® security screens have kept all vandals away – we used to have a few, tempted by our isolated location. And in the warm summer nights we enjoy opening all windows and doors without the mosquitoes carrying us away. I’d recommend ForceField® to anyone.”
